furoshiki bag

I'm fascinated by the Japanese folding techniques.
In this video they show how you can fold a shopping bag with a furoshiki cloth. If I have found the right fabric I will definitely try to fold one!
Furoshiki (風呂敷, furoshiki) are a type of traditional Japanese wrapping cloth that were frequently used to transport clothes, gifts, or other goods.

The temperature was tropical today 32° but good enough to do some reading and crochet in our garden. These Scottish plastic milk bottles I took home from a supermarket in the Hebrides and finished them with a neon pink rim.

The Outer Hebrides is one of the most amazing
locations to visit. We have been there for 3 weeks.
This is one of our (most) beautiful wild camping spots!!

On my travels through India (years ago) I brought home these
intricately carved wooden block prints.
Never used them before but today I made a brightly pink
color print on paper and on fabric. It is fun to do and I like the handmade feel of this technique. I would love to block-print a larger be continued.
